When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)
God’s promise is always ahead of us. It is given before anything will happen to fulfill it.
His promise is to give direction on where to go.
His promise is to give strength along the journey.
His promise won’t take away the coming troubles, but it will get us through the trouble.
When God give His promise, it does not mean there won’t be any mountain.
God’s promise to Abraham was given before he took his step of faith to the journey.
God’s promise to Moses was given before the Israelites were freed from slavery.
God’s promise to Joshua was given before he arrived in Canaan.
God’s promise is to prepare for the trouble with peace and assurance.
When the promise is already given, trouble will not sway us away from God’s will.
When troubles come,
Great water will not overwhelm us because the current of the Living Water in us is much stronger.
Fierce fire will not consume us because the Fire burning in us is much hotter.
Because we hold on to the promise.
Because promise is given ahead of us and of the trouble
For us to prepare in becoming an Overcomer of the great mountains, the rivers, seas, oceans, and burning furnace along the way.
Get ready to be an OVERCOMER!
