Raise and Release

Blessed day every one! Welcome to our fourth and last blog session this month. Thank you for spending time with us at Fire Brand this month for a series of blog sessions. To those who missed the first three sessions, I really suggest that you read them to grasp the move of God in this season when we launched the blog series. The Days of David Series, Invitation to Greatness and Scandal in the Palace were messages to reveal what God has gifted us and what the enemy is targeting in his hell breaking distractions day by day. And  in Rest and Receive, God has revealed a very critical truth in receiving His revelation for our personal relationship with God. Now let us start for this blog session.

Raise and Release

There is a generational gap that God is trying to fill in with this generation. The arising generation must have a firm and good foundation of the truth to catch the anointing as God moves from one generation to another.

Generational gap is when there is no one from the generation receives and responds to the moving and anointing of God for a period of time.

It is a time when the voice and power of God is very rare. There is a silence of God’s voice in a generation. There is an absence of His power in their midst. It may either be in a nation, a region, a city or a local congregation.

For some time, God has been in the move of restoring what was lost and He was restoring the ministries of Jesus; the teaching, pastoral, evangelistic, prophetic and apostolic ministries He had in His time on earth.

Let us look at what happens when there is a generational gap from a biblical reference.

Exodus 1:6-8, 16, 22 (KJV)

And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.

And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

In the last part of Genesis, God spared the house of Jacob from the famine across the land by sending them to Egypt. The process was so painful for Joseph being the forerunner who underwent terrible persecutions and injustices.

But what the enemy meant for bad, God turned it for the good of His children.

Joseph and his family lived with such favor that a region in the land was given to them, the Goshen, which is the best part among the regions. This was a favor of God through an authority who submitted to the voice and power of God.

When an authority submits to God and to the person He is speaking through, the land is protected and prospered. We will see it along the way as we continue this blog session.

Joseph was a person who receives a revelation of the move of God and His anointing in his time. He was the person who spoke God’s intent to a land and a generation. He was a personality God has raised for such a time. And authority in the land submitted to the anointing and calling God has placed over Joseph’s life.

Now, where is the generational gap in this biblical reference?

When Joseph’s generation died, the left behind generation were just great in numbers but not in the anointing of God. There was a gap in the first chapter of Exodus. That gap is what happened to the generation after Joseph’s and before Moses’.

It takes a revelation from God to see this thing in these verses. The fruitfulness and increase of the children of Israel can only be in the physical aspect. It can be either in population or in the market economy. There was no significant move of God until a wicked king rose into power.

We can see in this scenario  that God was not able to find anyone who responded to carry the anointing and calling to lead the children of Israel after Joseph died. It affected the atmosphere in the leadership of the land.

Since, there was no one who was raised to speak forth God’s intent in the land just like Joseph, no one carried the legacy that he built in their midst. The legacy was lost. No one was able to pass on the legacy God did through Joseph. If they did, then no one was bold enough to declare it over the land. And God wanted to restore that legacy.

There was a lack of chroniclers in their time to continue and remind what God has done for them. This is where chronicles or channels that keep the legacies God made in the land can bless us.

This generational gap caused a negative shift in the leadership of the land. Because of the scarcity of God’s voice and power in the land, there came a king risen upon the throne who does not recognize Joseph and His God.

The lack of God’s wisdom and Spirit in the land will cause fear and troublesome decision in their leaders. And the growth of numbers alone is not that good when there is no growth of the manifestation and habitation of the Spirit of God in their midst.

This is why the next king after Joseph’s generation resorted to a decision of killing all the male children of Israel. He feared that these men will bring trouble someday. Actually, it was his insecurity being a leader that led him to such decision.

The struggle begins until God can find someone who will receive and respond to the anointing and calling He has for the children of Israel. This struggle remained up until God found Moses. God trained Moses in His own peculiar ways.

God had Moses to live in the palace to learn the ways of having authority and power. And He had him known to the children of Israel to learn the ways of compassion and mercy. God had him in both worlds.

What the enemy has plotted out to kill all the male children was reversed back to himself, when the first male born child of Egyptians also died after the warning that God released through Moses. Remember the covenant God had with Abraham. Blessing for a blessing. Curse for a curse.

We cannot afford to have this generational gap in our generation.

This is a calling to all the leading generation to prepare and hone today’s generation in God’s ways. The leaders of today have the heavier weight of training and raising a generation that will catch God’s move and continue what He has started.

When a generation is already leading God’s move, it is imperative to equip and train the generation beneath them on how to continue what God is doing in their time. Whether the leaders will respond to this calling or not, God will train people in His own ways in their secret places. But the generation in between the training years may suffer from the scarcity of God’s voice and power among them and its consequences.

When the leaders, especially those who are in the ministries of Jesus (the apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoral and teaching) decide to train the young ones, they must secure to train them in five major areas.

5 Areas For A leadership training

1) Availability

The succeeding generation must grasp the idea of pursuing God in their time and priorities. God cannot use someone who is not present physically, mentally, and spiritually. He cannot use someone who is absent.

2) Authenticity

This generation should know how to come to God and inquire for something they need to know. It should be someone who does not just parrot someone’s revelation or statement plainly for the purpose of having something to speak of. When one has nothing to speak about, then do not speak until God says so.

Be authentic on what we speak of. If we are restating what another has spoken about or received from God, make sure to give the authorship to the one who first hand spoke about or received it.

3) Audacity

This generation must know how to relay and convey God’s intent without misrepresenting God’s image and nature. There are different avenues to speak out what God has revealed to us. It may be spoken spontaneously, written in a book or chronicled though a paper or a technology-driven equipment such as social media. It can also be in dances, music or other branches of art that defines God and His divine nature.

4) Attitude

This is one of the most difficult part to impart on a generation. This generation must mature in the divine image and likeness of Christ. Without having this, we can easily misrepresent God to the world. Instead of bringing them to God, we begin to draw them away from Him.

5) Accountability

Also, this is very difficult to develop in a generation. When God has given us a platform or an opportunity to influence people, we must have people who can check us out to guide and train us in God’s ways of influence or impartation.

This areas is creating so much drifts in this generation. When the trainee does not like the trainer, he gets out of the training even if God designed it that way. Also, when the trainer is threatened by the arising trainee, leadership insecurity is dividing them.

We all have to be accountable on someone who is also accountable to God. This is commonly applied to mentoring. However, when we do not have a mentor, then we directly be just accountable to God. Any other way will do as long as God becomes the grand jury.

This is the time where leadership people must begin to train this generation. God cannot release a person unless he is fully equipped. God is seeking a generation who is fully equipped to partner with the Holy Spirit in this end time movement.

It is time to raise and soon release people to their giftings and callings!

There is a generation arising who must be trained, equipped and released to glory of God.

Spiritual and Professional Insecurities Exposed

Spiritual and Professional Insecurities ExposedDid your pastor try to shut you up because you receive ministry from other ministers..?
The Bible has this to say:

“Those people are zealous to win you over, BUT FOR NO GOOD. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may have zeal for them. (Galatians 4:17, Italics mine)

Ministers, guard and watch yourselves from professional insecurities. It is as bad as worldly jealousy! What should be the right attitude of ministers?

“whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—ALL ARE YOURS, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.” (1 Corinthians 3: 22-23, NIV, Italics mine)

All are yours! Including ministers outside your church, outside your denomination and even those from other countries and races! If your pastor is restraining you from receiving ministry from other ministers, ask yourself these questions:

  • What is the pastor`s motivation for the control that he is trying to assert?
  • Is my pastor afraid of losing me to another church?
  • Is my pastor concerned that his voice will diminish in my life because I opened myself up according to 1 Corinthians 3:22-23?
  • Is my pastor intimidated with other ministers?
  • Is my pastor afraid that I will get a wrong teaching or a wrong spirit? What if the witness of the Spirit of God inside of me is that other ministers are also right in their standing with God?
  • Is my pastor a personality cult who thinks that he is the greatest thing that had had happened in the Church?
  • Does my pastor think that no one can be as anointed, as skillful, as better than he is?
  • Why does my pastor character assassinate other ministers especially when I praise them? Does he want to get all the praises and validation himself? Or can he stand comparison at all?
  • Is my pastor envious?
  • Why am I staying under a toxic leadership?

You can do yourself a big favor if you know how to ask God the right question. The Holy Spirit will show you if you are under a toxic, venomous leadership if you ask Him to search you out.

“…these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”(1 Corinthians 2:10, NIV)

If the spirit of leadership above you is toxic and has a visceral hate towards other ministers, expect that that leader will throw hostile accusations and condemnations to brainwash you! That`s how darkness works.
