John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
In this verse, we can encapsulate the beginning and completion of His love. His love began with the creation of the world and perfected in the cross. God loves us.
That is for sure! His love is action. That is grace. Grace is His love in action. For God so LOVED… He GAVE…
Let us clear this, God’s grace is not a doctrine that we study or a concept that we discuss. Grace is not WHAT. Grace is WHO. He is Jesus. Grace is a gift freely given. For God so LOVED… He gave His ONLY SON…
Now this is the question for all of us, are we ready to receive the grace of God in our lives and hearts? Surrendering our life to Jesus will bring restoration of our relationship towards God. Also, it will lead to the fulfillment of God’s purposes in our lives. Sometimes, because of our stubbornness, we tend to refuse Him. Even so, He never condemned us. It is us who condemned ourselves because of the guilt we felt.
John 3:17
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
But this is His promise, a promise of grace sealed with the blood of the Lamb. Jesus is now at the right hand of the Father interceding for us to return and surrender our lives back to Him that we may be redeemed from the curse of sin and law from which we fail to follow. Who can condemn us? No one!
Romans 8:34
Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
Now, Grace is not just the salvation. It does not end there. It goes beyond although salvation is part of it because we were saved even though we did not deserve it. Grace is action. It is the giving of God to man and man to God. It is a place where man meets God because when man fell below the standard of God’s Glory, the last option is Grace. And salvation is not the totality of that as perceived by many. It is too broad to limit it in salvation. Part of it is repentance. It also includes provisions, protection, inheritance, forgiveness, acceptance, joy, strength, etc.
Let us all move and accept this Grace and experience a change in our life. A better life. Even more, the best one!
