Are you experiencing spiritual warfare and opposition in your life or ministry? It’s time to prophesy!

‘The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.’ (Deut 28:7)

Prophesy concerning your destiny. Prophesy Father’s intention for your life, your family, your church and for your ministry. Prophesy God’s redeeming grace!

Prophesy that God will turn this situation around for His glory. Prophesy in Jesus’ Name, the downfall of the enemy and every demonic scheme that has come against you.

It’s not over, it is a new beginning. The time is coming when you will see with your eyes the fruit of your words spoken in agreement with God’s word. This situation WILL be turned around, in Jesus’ Name.

5 Biblical Examples of Prophecy and Spiritual Warfare

Have you felt as though you have been in a spiritual battle lately? Be encouraged by these glimpses of the power of prophecy in Scripture when warfare is taking place:

When it Seems the Enemy has you Cornered

The nation of Israel has escaped from slavery in Egypt and is now trapped between the pursuing Egyptian army and the Red Sea. Faced with a seemingly impossible situation, Moses prophesies God’s intended outcome to the Israelites:

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Ex 14:13-14)

It may appear that the enemy has you backed into a corner with spiritual warfare, but you serve a supernatural God. Trust His promises and prophesy; declare the God’s deliverance ahead of time. With God on your side, you are unstoppable and the strategies of the enemy will be overturned.

When Intimidation is Coming Against You

In 1 Sam 17, David counters Goliath’s barrage of intimidating words and actions by prophesying the giant’s fate:

David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. (1 Sam 17:45)

Don’t underestimate the power of your prophetic declarations during a time of spiritual warfare. Prophesy in the face of intimidation. Boldly prophesy God’s outcome and victory over the enemy!

When You’ve Been Knocked Over

In the midst of the nation’s devastation because of sin and unfaithfulness to God, the Prophet Micah can still proclaim a prophetic message of hope and restoration.

Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light. (Micah 7:8)

It may seem that you have been knocked around or knocked over. Perhaps you have given way to temptation or are struggling with sin and there have been consequences.

Now is the time to prophesy. Declare, ‘I WILL rise. My Jesus, in Whom I trust, is my Redeemer,  my Deliverer and my Resurrection.

When the Physical Odds are Against You

King Jehoshaphat of Judah hears the terrible news that a massive army is coming against him. As he prays and cries out to God in front of his people, the Holy Spirit comes upon a Levite named Jahaziel, who gives a bold prophecy:

‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s…You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’” (2 Chron 20:15-17)

Jehoshaphat responds to that prophetic word by sending out an army of praisers—and this day God gives them a powerful deliverance over their enemies.

Does it seem like the odds are against you? Look beyond what can be seen with your natural eyes: what does your Heavenly Father say? What is HIS word concerning your future situation? Make a decision to see what God is seeing and to speak what God is speaking. Prophesy and see the miracle!

When You are in the Wilderness

David wrote Psalm 57 in a place of devastation. The Psalm’s headline reads, ‘When he had fled from Saul into the cave.’ David was in the wilderness on the run from Saul, who wanted to kill him. And yet, in this place of present pain and warfare, David sings a prophetic song of certain faith in his future:

‘I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.’ (Ps 57:9)

In the present, you may be in the midst of a trial—but in the future God’s promises will prevail. Stand and prophesy a sure word concerning your future, and praise Jesus who makes all things possible.
